Happy Friday evening of a long weekend, all! Remember that our hours this weekend are 10-5 Saturday, 12:30-4:30 on Sunday and 10-2 on Monday, Labor Day. Call us for questions, to order or directions to the store: 703-360-4600.
"Moon and Spider Apple Cider" from NeedleWork Press.
By Cherished Stitches, "A Quaker Family Tree."
Pineberry Lane's "Mary Ann Suckling." Poor Mary Ann. I wonder if they had bullies in 1846 who made her life miserable.
"Be Merry," by Amy Bruecken Designs. What a jolly group.
Cherished Stitches' "Bunny to Go." I was photographing quickly, but I think he comes with a little box.
The much wished-for "Yuletide Welcome" by Plum Street.
A beautiful pair of reproduction samplers by Samplers Revisited. A close-up of the shop model "Fianna Grube 1849." Fianna was from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Her colors are calming--I love the blue with the brown.
A photo of her alphabet, which we love.
And here's the photo of the whole sampler, from the Samplers Revisited website, which turned out better than mine.
Also from Samplers Revisited, the vibrant and colorful Marrion Alexander McKie 1859. Marrion's sampler is Scottish, hence the brights. Again, photo borrowed from Samplers Revisited's website.
New project totes. They're great--sturdy, attractive and large enough to tote along a couple of projects.
Limited edition Blackbird Designs projects in delightful little buckets--call and get yours--don't miss out! ("Never Far Apart" stocking and "October 31" pin cushion.
Delightfully dotty fabric from a new fabric purveyor: Fabric Flair. I got a chance to look at the group of colors displayed on the fabric counter: lovely, subtle mottled mauve, blue, green. This spotted fabric is used in one of the JBW designs I'll show you next time.
New colors by Wichelt, in both linen and aida fabrics. Aida fans have frequently told us that they are disappointed not to have as many color choices as the linen fans, and Wichelt listened!!
Market was needlepoint as well as cross stitch, and of course, we sell both. We love these designs, and they're simple to stitch even if you've never needlepointed before. Think of what fun these would be as gifts.
And a stitched model:
Our address is 8800 F Pear Tree Court in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria, on Route 1.
We'll be back with more photos throughout the weekend--we still have lots to share!
Happy stitching!
