Nashville 3

Greetings, all! We hope this post finds you well and ready to stitch.

On today's menu: Fresh Silk and Linen Berries. There are more designs, which we will be getting back into the shop--they flew off the shelves. [Edited to add: They're already back in stock--come get yours!]
We have lots of fabrics, as you can see.
My favorite: sparkly fabrics.
Here's Patricia, cutting some Picture This Plus for a customer.
We have two new peacock samplers: "Peacock Sampler" by Victoria Sampler, and
"The Persian Bird" by Summer House Stitche Workes and comes with a real peacock feather.
"Feniscowles Hall 1824" by Heartstring Samplery:
The Scarlett House's "Center Point Sampler."
Barbara Ana's "Strawberry Harvest."
By Summer House Stitche Workes: "Galileo's Telescope."
The Blackbird Design ladies have taken some of their classic Christmas designs and added some new ones for this album:  "Home for the Holidays."
A design from the "Tender Heart Series."
"Tall House Needlebook" by La-D-Da.
More beautiful designs by With Thy Needle and Thread: "Where Hearts Rest."
"Forget Me Not."
"Red Bird Fraktur."
And some lovely new designs by Stacy Nash Primitives:  "Jack's House Pinkeep."
"Spotted Pigs Pinkeep."
"Wooly's Pinkeep."
Stitch this darling rabbit for Easter: "Camillo," by Alessandra Adelaide Needleworks.
Last but not least, we have some new, very beautifully made tools in the shop: on one end a seam ripper and on the other, a laying tool. They are substantial in your hands and tools for a lifetime of happy stitching.

The inspiring Woodlawn Plantation Needlework Show is in full swing and takes place throughout March every day but Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (They are closed Easter Sunday, I believe.) We are just down the street, so please drop by and visit us! Congratulations to the winners and to all the exhibitors who pour their hearts and talent into their craft and then share it so we can all enjoy.

To order or for questions, please call us at 703-360-4600. We are located at 8800 F Pear Tree Village, on Route 1 in the Mount Vernon Section of Alexandria (look for the McDonalds). Throughout the month of March because of the Woodlawn Show, we are open seven days a week--Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 12:30-4.  except for Easter Sunday; Stitch nights are the first and third Wednesdays of the month, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

More Nashville

Happy late Sunday, all. Don't you feel as if an hour of stitching time has been stolen from your stitching basket?

Here are some more wonderful items from the Nashville Needlework Market. First, from Samplers Not Forgotten, "Parents Love." I love the critters on the lawn and the winged bug as big as a bird.

We have some new, very nice patriotic designs. "Liberty for All" by With Thy Needle and Thread.
"Patriotic Scissor Pocket" by The Scarlett House.
"Grant House 1865" by Chessie and Me.
From Lizzie Kate, and adorable kit: "Red, White and Blue."
Here are the fabrics and extras for the kit.
A lovely counted canvas design by Nancy's Needle: "Autumn Mums."
A fun Christmas design by Glendon Place: "Medley of Carols."
"Blue Quaker Sewing Basket" by Mani di Donna.  The handle, shown, comes with the chart.
"Susan Elliott" by Queenstown Sampler Designs.
A collaboration by Giulia Punti Antichi and Mani di Donna: "Gather Me Up!"
Here are some of the contents of this kit, including beautiful pins.
Some seaside-inspired goodies: "Summer in Nantucket" by Plum Street Samplers.
"Beach Blessing" by Erica Michaels.
And two beachy projects from Samplers Revisited's "Coastal Collection":  "Life's a Beach" and "The Beach Fixes Everything.

Nashville I

Greetings, all! We will be doing a few posts for the new goodies that have arrived from the Nashville Market. I'll start today with some gorgeous samplers. First, "Maria Jenuaria" by Queenstown Sampler Designs. Stitched on antique white, it's like a beacon on the wall, pointing to each of the fascinating and unique motifs. Notice that each of the borders is different. Fun! We have a Queenstown trunk show in the shop. Not the best angle--I'll try and get a better shot on Wednesday.
We also have a Samplers Revisited trunk show in the shop. This is "Hester Kingham 1832." I will try to take another shot of this on Wednesday also; I so want to capture the dear face peeping out of the upstairs window!
From Noteworthy Needle, "Sarah Chapman."
Milady's Needle: "Mary Ann Lynn 1855." I love the verse on procrastination.
Giulia Punti Antichi's "Ann Hull." I love Ann's gorgeous blues, golds and yellow.
"Mary Pilgrim's Sampler Pillow and Needle Rest" from Abby Rose Designs. Sweet.
From the Scarlett House: "Mary Cook 1795," a wonderful reproduction with adorable critters, including a pair of lions.
By Terri Bay Needlework, "Rhapsody in White."  Intriguing and completely different; I'd like to try it...
Stacy Nash Primitive Designs' "Adam and Eve on the Farm," which comes with the small tray shown in the photo (my photo doesn't show the tray well, but it's beautifully finished).  I love the critters here, especially the spotted rooster, the sheep, the goat and even the snake.
By Little House Needleworks: "Homestead Sampler."
"Flag of Glory Needle Book" by Chessie and Me.
These are bright Q-snap clamps. I am a devoted Q-Snap user, and I plan to buy these brightly colored items.
With Thy Needle and Thread has lots of fabulous new designs; here are four of them. "Good Deeds,"
"Spring Frolic at Bunny Hill,"
"The Gilmour House Sewing Tray," and
"Spring Delivery."
Is anyone channeling Adele with this wonderful phone case? This is not new from Nashville, but it caught my eye in the shop, and I had to show it to you.
