Happy New Stash, everyone! Ellen and the most excellent Shopping Ladies came back from the Nashville Needlework show with a boatload of stuff. I'll post additional pictures throughout the day; mother nature is threatening a big snow in the Washington, DC area, so the government and a lot of schools and offices are closed. It's not snowing here yet, which makes the day off seem a little bizarre, but most welcome: Mother Nature's way of saying "post those photos and then sit in front of the fire and stitch!"
I photographed as I grabbed them off the spinners, so in no particular order:
A bunch of cuties from With Thy Needle and Thread:
"Summer at Cherry Hill." Stitch count: 154 x 197 and uses Weeks, Gentle Arts and Classic Colorworks fibers.
"Be Happy, Humble and Kind."
"Stars and Stripes Forever." Stitch Count 153 x 151. Uses Weeks Dye Works, Gentle Arts, Classic Colorworks and a ball of Valdani embroidery floss in 0510 Terra Cotta Twist.
"Shepherd's Sampler."
"Button Button."
"Spring Greets Bouquet Pinkeep." Some of you know how much I love bunnies. I bought this, of course (and a few other charts as well). Uses Weeks and Gentle Arts fibers. 48 x 65 stitches.
Speaking of bunnies, by Glendon Place, this chart comes with the wonderful bunny fabric (there's a chicks project that comes with chicks fabric).
"Strong in the Lord" by Plum Street Samplers.
By Cherished Stitches, "A Country Christmas" pinkeep. Fabric included!
Hugely popular by Shakespeare's Peddler: "Friendship Fractur."
By Queenstown Sampler: "Fanny Covell c. 1790."
Here's Fanny's model, hanging on our very own shop wall. Yes, we have the Queenstown AND Samplers Revisited trunk shows in the shop. If you're going to the Woodlawn Needlework Show, be sure to stop by and see these beautiful stitched models--they bring the projects alive in a way even a good cover photo on a chart can't. More photos of these later, along with lots and lots of fun, inspiring and beautiful new projects fresh from Nashville.
