Easter

Hi, Everyone! Easter is next week, and we have lots of spring- and Easter-related projects in the shop. Like this great rabbit, flowers and fish needlepoint canvas. I'd really like to stitch this.

Lots of new fabrics, too, for any project that catches your fancy.

This spring cutie by Just Nan would be the perfect little something for someone's Easter basket. It's a tiny tin with either a three-dimensional bird, nest and flowers or a bunny. Inside the tin is a little pin cushion.

This the the shop model of Raise the Roof Designs' limited edition kit, "Quilted Spring."

"Antique Animal Sampler" by Elizabeth's Needlework Designs. Note that "S" is illustrated by "Silly Monster."

I've started it, on 40 count ivory Italian linen, using the recommended WDW floss.

"Jenny Bean's Spring Sampler," by Shakespeare's Peddler. You can buy the chart alone, or purchase the fibers in a pack, ready to go.

For knitters, we have the latest Vogue Knitting in stock. What a lovely project inside! I'd like it knitted in yellow (and note all the scarves and shawls to the left as well).

Spring is for sheep and lambs: Shepherd's Bush "Sheep in a Garden" pillow with a nifty sheep button on the upper right. I want to stitch this cheery pillow and give it as a gift to someone who's under the weather.

A project and a little platter by Thomas Joseph. We have a variety of these adorable sheep-and-Scottish background kits.

And little platters to hold your needlework supplies or some sheep cookies?

And let's not forget the bunnies and the eggs! "Happy Bunny Day" by Val's Stuff.

A Shepherd's Bush Easter Egg pillow--not new, but a sweet classic.

"Eggs a la Round" which came out last year but bears repeating. I have seen this stitched up. The package photo doesn't do it justice. Along with the bright Easter egg colors are multiple shades of sparkly Kreinik. Very pretty and worth your time.

Something new and something classic by the Cricket Collection. "Easter," and...

..."Leaping Rabbit" shown with the fabric and buttons below.

And this last shop model. Miss Easter Rabbit looks a little stern, but she's holding a lovely embroidered three-dimensional purse. You don't need to get into a kerfluffle about finishing this challenging piece--we have someone who can do that for you beautifully, leaving you free to stitch.

The shop is closed today but will reopen tomorrow. Our hours are 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12:30 to 4:30 on the first Sunday of the month (normally). Stitch Nights are the first and third Sundays of the month.

For questions or to order, please call us at 703-360-4600.

Happy Easter and Happy Stitching!
