Greetings, all! This post includes two events: the lock-in held on April 26, and the Stitch Night of May 6. First, photos of the lock-in. Our theme was "hats," and here's Diane wearing hers, surrounded by wonderful needlework.
Sparkling shop ladies modeling their chapeaus: from left, Ellen, Candie, Diane and Patricia.
Our fabulous and fabulously absorbed customers, stitching.
Sherry, with a beautiful knitting project. As with a lot of our shop ladies (maybe all of them), Sherry is multi-talented, and is an accomplished needlepointer also.
Buddy, official shop dog.
Three new shop models:
"The Love of Two Hearts" by Long Dog Samplers.
"Ten Carrot Tree Farm" by ScissorTail Designs.
All American Finn by Threadwork Primitives.
From our needlepoint corner, two angels ornaments to stitch, complete with charms, from Painted Pony Designs.
Stitching by Carol M, who is working on the Scarlet Letter's "Mary Hurst." My photo doesn't do it justice, but in real life, such a beautiful satiny color of blue, intricate and dainty.
Carol also stitched Blackbird Designs' "My Pink Rose."
Also new in the shop: by JBW Designs, "Mongrammed Tulips." You can stitch this in any color you want, and every letter of the alphabet is charted.
"Needles Guide" by Tree of Life Samplings.
"Tabby Cat Sewing Pouch" by Stacy Nash Primitives.
"On the Beach," by Madame Chantilly.
"RFD Sledding" by Foxwood Crossings, shown here with a sled ornament.
And a couple of updates on projects I've shown you before: my finish of "Stars & Stripes," by With Thy Needle and Thread.
Close to being finished with Blackbird Designs' "Agnes Platt." Agnes was charted for overdyed cottons, but I substituted Belle Soie, my favorite fibers. The result is a bit more vivid.
