Labor Day Stitching

Hi, all! Happy long weekend to you. Hopefully you don't have to work and can sit back and relax with some stitching or knitting. Here's something to get you started! It's in! The designs inside are fun, but we didn't want to spoil the surprise by giving any peeks. Note: If you didn't get a chance to buy the 2009 or 2010 issues, we have those in stock also.

Since we're thinking of Christmas, Heartstrings Samplery has a new Christmas chart. Love the red!

Nutcrackers!

New in the shop is Scarlett House's "Sarah Elizabeth Brooke." Glenna is kitting it up for herself in 40 count Lakeside Strawflower (lighter and pinker than the suggested Meadow Rue) with the recommended Belle Soie fibers (also charted for Crescent Colours).

Here's a close-up of a new Sampler Company design by Brenda Keyes (darned if I can remember what it's called), but isn't it gorgeous?

A cute Halloween piece from Prairie Moon: "d.sa/m/pler."

"Halloween Party" by Just Nan, as kitted up by Glenna with the Thread Gatherer fibers and natural linen. The chart contains the bead pack.

Just Nan also has lots of Halloween treasures, findings and pins.

The new Debbie Bliss knitting magazine is out. There are a ton of wonderful projects in it--in fact, nearly every one is a "keeper," with nary a strange, unwearable pattern in sight. Look at these adorable booties, knit in Cashmerino Baby. What a wonderful Christmas gift.

And Glenna's planning to knit this one up, from the same Debbie Bliss issue. Just gorgeous. There are several other nordic-related garments in the issue as well, each softer and more beautiful than the last.

From Rovaris. You stitch the letter (it's about 1 inch square), attach the treasures included in the kit and hang it on a pretty cord--a sweet gift for a dear friend.

These affordable little scissors with their dear polka dots have been flying out of the shop.

The sheep are back!
